odd behavior with ban.list

Hi, I'm having a weird behavior with the ban list. When I do a manual 
request to Varnish using 'curl -X PURGE http://example.com/ ', the first 
time appears in the ban.list but if I repeat the request the list of 
banned items are fully cleaned. Any clue?
