Subject: Varnish 1.1 released

It is my privilege to announce the release of Varnish 1.1, the latest
feature release of the Varnish high-performance HTTP accelerator.

Varnish 1.1 brings a number of new features, such as Vary: support,
header and URL rewriting, and VCL control of the hash key.  The
accompanying utilities have also been improved, and new utilities have
been added.

A summary of changes since 1.0.4 can be found in the ChangeLog file in
the release tarball, or online:

As usual, source code for Varnish 1.1 can be downloaded from
SourceForge:

Some of our package maintainers are away on summer holiday, so it may be
a while before precompiled packages are available.
